My baby is finally back to his ol' usual self.
He's still not giving kisses, but at least he's eating yummy yogurt raisins. I think he's not very partial to my homemade crackers. He doesn't care for those, which means I have to actually go buy some now. And I was so excited when they were eating them at first....
I am so thankful for the people I work with. I made some telephone calls yesterday to see if I could get off work. I was so worried about Vincent that I was horribly depressed and it was definitely affecting my work-mode. I tried really hard to be cheery with staff and patrons, but it was too the point where it became an exhausting task.
Mary Jean called, and although she wouldn't be able to work the entire rest of the day, I was so happy that she called back. Sometimes when you let someone know that you care, it can be that thought or that good karma that can push you to survive a little longer.
I called Germaine next, and she was very understanding. She came in around 12 to take up my slack. I still don't know how to thank her. I'm going to work her next Saturday, definitely, but I don't if that is enough for me. I know, she wasn't worried. She kept saying don't worry about it. I suppose I feel the need to show her my gratitude to the fullest extent that I can.
And in the end, Vincent is fine.
Although there was nothing I could really do, I know that I might have been an emotional wreck if I stayed at work.
I should work on that. Being all emotional and shit.
