I haven't been able to tend to my blog as of late simply because of the second job I've picked up. It's been really hard to find time to do anything, especially for myself. I've let the house go to the critters and the critters are always behind on their cage cleanings. I'm grateful for the additional monies, though, because I can buy foods and things and pay my car insurance.
So that is what I have time for at the moment: this wee little update.
I was able to squeeze in a show last Friday called Burlesque Beta. It was at the Go Bar, close to Downtown, and I really enjoyed it. The crowds were thick but very supportive. For the most part. There was one heckler in the crowd who, I suspect, only wanted to see the burlesque stripteases. Or just women dancing in general, I suppose.
Anywho. He was an asshole.

Catch
The day after my Grandpa's funeral, my cousin Dave and I played catch. It started to rain, but we kept playing. It was awesome and I'll never forget it. I couldn't help but feel how much my Grandpa would approve.
I can picture him watching and laughing, his eyes twinkling like stars.

Shock and Relief
Now that it's all over, it's okay to laugh.
Earlier, Sam and I finished up a movie and I started rounding up the ferrets. I found Jack and Rudyard easy enough but had a really hard time finding Momo.

I looked in all her spots, under the bed mostly, but couldn't really find her. I knew she couldn't be in the bathroom or Sam's room or even in the kitchen. She hadn't even put herself to bed.
So where was she?
I think to myself, "Well, Momo likes to attack the vacuum cleaner," so I pull the vacuum cleaner into my room and am about to turn it on when Sam yelps in surprise.
No. She was not in the vacuum cleaner. That's just stupid.
She was, however, inside the rat cage.
My boys were huddled up in the top most corner, paralyzed in fear, and Momo was at the bottom of the cage next to the water bottle, looking very confused.
Naturally, I flipped the fuck out. Sam took her out and I soothed the rats. We ended up giving them a whole baby carrot each so they could nibble their nerves away.
Momo gave us kisses. I wasn't sure if I should scold her or what. So I ended up just putting her back in the ferret cage with Jack and Rudyard. She promptly fell asleep.
Everyone was fine. No injuries, nothing.
It was the weirdest thing. I'm still not really sure how she got in there. The doors to the rat cage were closed.
Poor Darcy. I think he was in the most of hysterics. But I didn't get bit this time, so everything is hunky-dorey.
