Sunday was the big day. Rudyard, Sam, and I went to Marietta to pick up a new buddy. It was along and tiring process, but we finally made a decision. I was hoping Rudyard would have final say, but he fell asleep while we were there!
We brought them back home and everything was okay. Rudyard was tired so he slept in while Jack Aubrey Spiffles (our new ferret) explored his new house.
Then yesterday, Rudyard started throwing up and not digesting his food properly. We took him to the vet this morning; he has a virus. He probably got it from the animal shelter. The vet's office was delighted to see him, however, and he got a lot of snuggles and love.
We're back at home right now. Jack is tearing up the place and having a ball while Rudyard continues to sleep. They are currently in separate cages and will remain so until Rudyard is feeling better.
